HLD GEOPORTAL
High Line Division S.L. is a visionary Spanish company which has been developing a cloud-based infrastructure for asset management of energy transmission and distribution lines for several years, managing data derived from the detailed analysis of the life cycle of the equipment and its preventive maintenance needs, focusing the analysis towards the implementation of predictive maintenance systems which reduce shutdowns by increasing the reliability of the system while reducing the maintenance costs of these assets.
The management of the data derived from the inspections carried out in conjunction with the life cycle analysis, its maintenance needs and its geospatial data within on purpose focused and specifically developed Geoportal by High Line Division will provide us with information of crucial importance for the efficient planning and management of human resources dedicated to maintenance, preventive and/or corrective tasks that must take place.
HLD's geospatial data infrastructure is a complex and relevant collection of next-generation technologies, policies and business provisions that facilitate access to spatial information and ensure the real-time availability of data from comprehensive inspections of electrical installations.
The categorization of detected anomalies based on their importance and urgency, their geographical location and the available human resources are established in the form of parameters so that upon computer processes can be processed efficiently in the generation of reports and work orders for assigned site teams where efficiency in the management of these assets will set the guidelines for a reduction in maintenance costs while increasing the effectiveness of the action, maximizing their exploitation.
The HLD Corporate Geoportal is a platform or gateway to geospatial resources made up of different web-based applications using map servers called IMS (Internet Map Server). This configuration allows multiple simultaneous users to access geo information in real time whilst connected to data and application servers. Both internal HLD users and external clients can access at any time the information published in the Geoportal, resulting from exhaustive inspections or emergency flights throughout our clients' infrastructures within space services in a fast, effective and reliable manner, as well as the capacity for integrated geoinformation management (visualization, query, deployment, spatial analysis, storage, generation of reports and downloading of geospatial information) through its corporate geoportal.
GEOPORTAL COMPONENTS
The HLD Corporate Geoportal is a web portal based on the geo-positioning of information, used to manage geospatial data from inspection of electrical infrastructure and High Voltage Aerial Power Lines at a national and international level from various clients and associated with different geographic services based on various web applications with different purposes, such as:
2D Viewer
3D Viewer:
Three-dimensional visualization of topographic surveys, three-dimensional modeling of corridors, consultation and management of information on structures and lines while surveyed with LiDAR sensors (point clouds, distance anomalies, anomaly reports, others)
Focused viewer for multimedia files visualization (pictures, thermograms, video, PDF format reports, etc.)
Info panel or Dashboard:
Web application that allows integrated information management based on KPIs (key performance indicators), which allows engineers, managers and key personnel of HLD and/or Clients to measure in real time and track the performance of field inspection activities in relation to the previously defined strategic objectives. Additionally, it allows integrated management of deployed crews or field work teams in real time. This application uses the power of geolocation to coordinate and manage the work of personnel in the field, focused on reducing errors, improving productivity and saving technical and financial resources.
The Geoportal developed by HLD is a web-based georeferenced corporate tool for the efficient and effective comprehensive management of the entire electrical asset inspection process; it leads to develop planning, control, and geolocated visualization tasks for field crews in real time (efficient human resources management), execution of work, exhaustive inspection (post-processing), 2D visualization of assets, 3D LiDAR point clouds, multimedia files (corona videos), automatic generation of anomaly reports (visual, thermal and vegetation) and historical management of the useful life cycle of electrical assets (inspected components). All above allows obtaining updated data 24/7 available for user and allows clients to make accurate and early decisions, which will allow them to obtain a significant cost reduction in electrical assets inspection work.

In High Line Division, with our sights set on the future, we have implemented policies in the development of our Geoportal focused on Customer service, allowing their access to this service when contracting our services and being part, together with us, of the path undertaken towards implementation of automated intelligent management processes, where terms such as: machine learning, deep learning, or artificial intelligence, allow us to develop an efficient system where the maximization of the exploitation of our assets, the efficient use of our human resources and the feasibility to offer an intelligent network where potential shutdowns are reduced to a minimum, achieving the useful life of our assets get extended to the maximum and the financial resources necessary to increase the energy efficiency and reliability of the energy transport and distribution network are reduced, and thereby improving customer service.
